Kyle was born in Tulsa, OK, in 1990 and moved to Dallas in 1995. He played Select youth hockey in Dallas from 1998 to 2009, from Mite to Midget. He also played Varsity High School hockey for the Garland Stampede from 2005 to 2008, and finished his senior year leading the league in points. He has been the captain of multiple teams and won several scholarship awards. He was also named to team Texas/Oklahoma. His last year of youth hockey he won an U18 National Hockey Championship. He has had several hockey articles published. He started coaching at the Ice Training Center in 2005, where he still coaches the Future Heroes, Play the Game, Mini-Mites, Mites, Summer Camps, Small Games Camps, VIP camps, Adult Instructional League, and Adult Skills Classes. He graduated in 2008 from Sachse High School with honors and is currently attending Richland Community College, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.
